Most Gracious Heavenly Father, Thou gavest Saint Valentine the courage to witness to the gospel of Christ and His Holy Church, even to the point of giving his life for it. Help us to endure all suffering for love of Thee, and to seek Thee with all our hearts; for Thou alone art the source of life and love. Grant that we may have the courage and love to be strong witnesses of Thy truth to the whole world. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, who lives and reigns with Thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
